After a tiring day, my officemate, Ate Cel and I decided to pop into Hobing for some Korean desserts. I’ve been wanting to try this for a very long time. π
Hello Hobing!!! π¨π¨π¨
Hobing Korean Dessert Cafe looks like
a typical Korean CafΓ© (just like what I’ve seen in K-dramas) with wooden chairs
and tables and KPOP mtvs playing on their flat-screen television which is what I
love the most coz I’m a KPOP fan and even sung along everytime I heard familiar
songs. Aha! Also, it was cozy, neat and fancy. You can ask for iced water or lemon water at the counter, too. I feel like I’m in Korea. Well, in my dreams.
Hihi. πππ
For those who don't know what bingsu is. Bingsu (λΉμ), just like Halo-halo in the Philippines, is a Korean shaved ice dessert with sweet toppings such as condensed milk, fruit syrups, chopped fruits such as mangoes, strawberries, and bananas, cereal flakes and brownies. And it is often topped with one scoop of ice cream or frozen yogurt. Unlike Halo-halo, you don't need to mix shaved ice with the toppings for you to enjoy it. And not just bingsu, but Hobing also offering some pastries, coffee, ice blended drinks and common Korean food like tteok-bokki and rabokki. π²☕π°
They have
variety of Bingsu: Injeolme Bingsu, Milk Redbean Bingsu, Cheese Bingsu, Strawberry
Bingsu, Choco Brownie Bingsu, etc. I tried Choco Cookie Bingsu while Ate Cel tried
Mango Cheese Bingsu in regular size only. After they served our bingsu and
after seeing it, they really look delicious. My goodness. Huwah! ☺☺☺

As I took my
first bite, I couldn’t believe how delicious it was. It really tastes good and wasn’t
sweet at all! We were amazed by how much the shaved ice really was. It looks
like a snow. As a chocolate lover, this
would be my favorite for now. Hahaha! Need to try Choco Brownie Bingsu. Soon. πππ
I also enjoyed the Mango Cheese Bingsu. The
cubes of mango were big, fresh and sweet. Very creamy. πππ
Forgot to take a photo with the food. Next time. Anyway, so happy I
finally got to try this Korean dessert cafΓ©, Hobing. Though it may be a little
pricy, but I think it’s worth the try. I would not mind coming back and
definitely looking forward to it. πππ
